Thermostat Installation
AC Thermostat Installation
Smart and programmable thermostats installed and — critically — correctly configured for your equipment.

A thermostat is a simple device to hang on a wall and a surprisingly easy one to get wrong. Heat pumps need the reversing valve configured for the right polarity or the system will heat when it should cool. Multi-stage equipment needs its stages mapped correctly or the second stage never engages. Auxiliary heat needs a lockout set sensibly or expensive electric strips run on mild nights. And a great many systems have no common wire, which most smart thermostats require.
We install the thermostat and then configure it against your actual equipment — heat pump versus conventional, stage count, auxiliary heat behaviour, fan configuration, cycle rate — and test every mode before leaving. Then we show you how to use it, because a programmable thermostat nobody understands ends up permanently on hold, which defeats the purpose of buying one.
Worth upgrading when
- An old mercury or basic non-programmable thermostat
- A thermostat that reads several degrees off the actual room temperature
- No ability to set a schedule or control the system remotely
- A property that sits empty for periods and needs remote monitoring
- Auxiliary heat running more than it should on mild nights
What's included
- Compatibility check against your equipment before purchase
- Common-wire provision where the system lacks one
- Correct configuration for heat pump, stage count and auxiliary heat
- Every mode tested — cooling, heating, auxiliary, fan
- Setup of schedules, app and remote access
- A walkthrough of how to actually use it

Will a smart thermostat work with my system?
Usually, but not always — heat pumps with auxiliary heat and some multi-stage systems need specific models, and many older installations lack a common wire. We check compatibility before anything is bought.
