Furnace Installation
Furnace Installation
Correctly sized, correctly vented, and commissioned against measured temperature rise.

A furnace installation is judged on three things: whether it is sized to the building's heating load, whether it is vented correctly, and whether the airflow across the heat exchanger produces the temperature rise the manufacturer specifies. Get the third one wrong and the furnace will short cycle on its limit switch for its entire life, which shortens that life considerably.
We calculate the load rather than matching the BTU rating of whatever is being removed — equipment that was oversized in 1998 does not justify oversizing again. Installation covers correct gas or electrical supply, proper venting and combustion air, condensate handling on high-efficiency units, sealed duct connections, and commissioning with measured temperature rise and safety-control verification before the system is handed over.
When replacement is the right call
- A cracked or corroded heat exchanger
- Repeated failures on an ageing unit
- A furnace badly oversized for the actual heating load
- Efficiency low enough that running cost justifies replacement
- New construction or an addition needing heating provision
What's included
- Heating load calculation and equipment specification
- Firm written quote before work begins
- Old unit removal and disposal
- Correct venting, combustion air and condensate provision
- Sealed duct and plenum connections
- Commissioning with measured temperature rise and safety verification

Central Florida coverageFurnace Installation — common questions
Do many Florida homes need a furnace?
Fewer than in most states — heat pumps handle the load for most properties. Where a furnace is the right answer, usually inland, we will explain why rather than default to it.
