HVAC Tune-Up
HVAC Tune-Up
A single seasonal check that catches the cheap failures before they become expensive ones.

A tune-up is the low-commitment version of maintenance, and its value is concentrated in a few specific checks that catch the failures most likely to strand you. Capacitor testing against rated microfarads finds the single most common cause of a dead system. Condensate drain clearing prevents the most common cause of water damage. Coil cleaning restores efficiency that has been leaking away all season. Everything else is a bonus.
It is the right service if your system is in reasonable shape and you want it checked before the heavy season, or if you have just moved into a property and have no history on the equipment. If the tune-up turns up something more serious, you will hear about it with the measurement that produced the concern rather than a vague recommendation to spend money.
